We’re currently looking for a creative, results-focused Account Manager with tech & professional services PR experience to join Mater’s Precision PR team. This individual’s primary functions will be managing several Precision PR clients, ensuring high-quality output and providing sound client counsel, and mentoring junior colleagues as they continue to reach for the next level.
Here’s a mix of what you’ll be doing day to day:
Develop and execute a broad range of proactive PR strategies/programs for assigned clients (inclusive of thought leadership and newsjacking, B2B and B2C influencers, content development and social media support), identifying opportunities to build clients’ visibility in media outlets (print/digital broadcast, podcasts, Substacks, blogs, other media) that reach their targeted customers and business communities
Develop and implement public relations activities around such initiatives as product and brand launches, funding rounds, executive thought leadership, industry reports and research, award and speaking opportunities, industry event participation, etc.
Become an expert on your clients’ business and the competitive landscape. Provide strategic recommendations and creative ideas for clients on an ongoing basis; proactively identify and address clients’ needs
Ensure the account team is effectively executing on the client’s program, meeting defined deliverables, and delivering excellent client service
Build strong client relations at senior levels, identify and troubleshoot issues and challenges as they relate to client satisfaction and overall program success
Manage account teams in the execution of all programs and assume accountability for meeting all program deliverables. Act as mentor and coach for team members, taking an active role in their professional development
Work closely with Precision’s highly collaborative manager and director team on account health, team/team member performance, professional development, Precision-specific services and messaging, etc.
Manage budget and allocation of staff resources
Actively participate in new business: Identify opportunities to upsell and grow the account; bring in new business opportunities through own network, experience and meet established revenue goals; generate new business pitch decks with strategic, creative thinking; contribute meaningfully to RFPs; and play a key role in new business meetings and/or messaging and positioning sessions
Along with creativity, drive and self-motivation, your previous experience and attributes will include:
5+ years’ experience in tech and professional services public relations (previous agency experience required). B2B tech and professional services (consulting, insurance, banking, etc.) experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple clients as well as manage multiple junior team members.
Ability to conceive and oversee the implementation of overall communication programs as well as targeted launches, announcements, strategies, message development and corporate positioning.
A demonstrated track record of leading successful, measurable PR, thought leadership, influencer and/or social media programs for multiple clients. Must have demonstrable knowledge of the media landscape and media trends/strategies.
A desire to work in a fast-moving, dynamic, team-oriented environment with the ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously.
A creative and results-oriented approach to all work that is produced.
Strong writing skills with demonstrated experience creating messaging/positioning, press releases, blog posts, byline articles, etc.
Exceptional presentation and communication skills (verbal and written).
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant business experience.

Compensation: The salary range for this role is between $85,000-92,000 based on experience.
